Oh... Delicatessen. That was the movie that made me make a list of every film I'd seen (6000 and growing!), as I'd rent it and say, "oh no, not this piece of... I forgot I saw that. Again." Four times I thought it sounded like the kind of film I'd like, but couldn't recall it until it started. Not a terrible movie, but nothing to rent over and over again!

wow, 6000 Steve!! Amazing. I've occasionally thought of taking on that task, but it seems pretty daunting to me, kudos to you for doing it!

I must be like one of the only fans of A Breed Apart. I really like that weirdo movie.

CDM- It is an odd film indeed, but I am a fan too. love that cast!

The Great Northfield... is really quite an interesting film. I wasn't aware of it until I stumbled upon it on AMC a year or two ago. I only caught the last two-thirds, but it was just soooo loaded with atmosphere and would make an interesting double bill with McCabe & Mrs. Miller. I like Kaufman a lot (Right Stuff is an all-time fave). Have you seen The White Dawn? It's quite fascinating - but no one seems to talk about it. I may cover it someday.

Keep up the great work!

Scott- I agree about GREAT NORTFIELD.. and I agree about WHITE DAWN. Been a while since I've seen it and it sadly just dropped off Netflix as a rental(had it in my queue) so I may seek out the OOP dvd(which I used to have and sold dang it!). I love Kaufman, THE WANDERERS is great too. He is a very interesting filmmaker with a varied career.

How have I never heard of the Wilby Conspiracy? With a cast like that, you'd think that I would have. I hardly have the patience to search through all the titles they have in Instant Play these days. I'm so glad you love doing this.

KC- I was pleasantly surprised to see WILBY CONSPIRACY on Instant, though I'd heard of it I don't think I've seen it. Glad you're liking these lists! If you like mine you should check out Brian Kelley's weekly column called "Your Netflix Instant Weekend" over at Gordon and the Whale. He is a fella with taste that I respect.

I started watching HICKEY & BOGGS today; Cosby and Culp in early '70s LA. Kinda neo-noir, a bit. Lots of recognizable character actors, including that guy who followed Bill Bixby around on "Incredible Hulk," and a very young Jimmy Woods!
